Jiangsu Bioperfectus Technologies Co., Ltd. (Shanghai, China) has received CE mark approval for its Monkeypox Virus Real Time PCR Kit, making the test available in the European Union and other countries and regions accepting the CE mark even as the threat of the Monkeypox virus continue to increase in several non-endemic countries.

The Bioperfectus Monkeypox Virus Real Time PCR Kit is based on real-time PCR technology. Specific primers and probes are designed based on F3L gene areas of the Monkeypox virus. In addition, the kit also contains a housekeeping gene (RNase P) as an internal control (IC) for specimen sampling and nucleic acid extraction. Additionally, the Monkeypox Virus Real Time PCR Kit applies to Bioperfectus Nucleic Acid Extraction Solution, Bioperfectus STC-96A, STC-96A PLUS Real-Time PCR System, and other primary PCR instruments in the market.
