More than 8,000 participants from around 100 European and non-European countries will gather at the 15th Congress of the European Hematology Association (EHA) at Fira de Barcelona (Barcelona, Spain) from June 10-13, 2010.

The EHA Congress is a forum for laboratory and clinical hematologists and presents the latest results in basic and clinical research. The program includes basic and translational science, clinical trials, diagnostic techniques, a major education program, and ethical and regulatory issues. The topics range from stem cells to leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma, thrombosis and bleeding disorders, and transfusion.

The EHA aims to promote excellence in clinical practice, research, and education in European hematology. EHA was founded in June 1992 and today is a consolidated representative of European hematologists.

Press briefing for the EHA Congress will be held at 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. on Friday June 11, 2010, at the Fera de Barcelona. Hematologists and other experts will present an overview of the future and expected developments within their fields of expertise.
